The fundraising occasion features soloists, chamber teams and ensembles totaling almost 300 scholar and school performances. The award, which acknowledges significant, long-term scholarship in music training, was given to Price at the latest NAfME’s Music Research and Teacher Education National Conference in Atlanta. — Kennesaw State University’s Harry E. Price, professor of music and music education in the School of Music in the College of the Arts, has been honored by the National Association for Music Education because the 2018 recipient of the Senior Researcher Award. Originally there were five springs in the park, with just one now remaining.
Traditionally held in person, the event was moved to “virtual” for 2021 owing to the pandemic. Financial support for this occasion has been partially offered by the Missouri Arts Council, a state company. Additional help has been provided by the members of Arts Rolla and an nameless donor. If time permits, authors may share extra works that had been submitted for this competition.
